Each year, a small group of directors set the bar for what strong board leadership looks like. The NACD Directorship 100 Awards recognize more than 100 of these leaders for the judgment, integrity, and oversight that drive long-term value across the organizations they serve.  

This is the most respected honor in corporate governance. It recognizes directors and governance professionals whose decisions shape strategy, manage risk, build trust with shareholders, employees, and the public. The program features governance's most prestigious honors: the B. Kenneth West Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing a career of exceptional board leadership, and the Director of the Year awards, honoring outstanding directors serving public, private, and nonprofit organizations. Together, these honors define what effective board leadership looks like today.

The 2026 NACD Directorship 100 honorees will be announced this September.
