John Driver is lead independent director of City First Bank (NASDAQ: BYFC), where he chairs risk and compliance, serves on audit and compensation, and previously served on nominating and governance. He is chair of 50/50 Women on Boards and president of the NACD Pacific Southwest Chapter. He also serves on the Faculty of NACD Board Advisory Services.

Driver is CEO of Lynx Technology, a global software company he founded through a management buyout from an NTT DOCOMO subsidiary. He previously served as chief operating officer and chief marketing officer of PacketVideo.

He formerly served as an independent director of Vital Energy (NYSE: VTLE) and as chair of both the Fleet Science Center and Stanford Associates Board of Governors. He mentors aspiring directors through the Black Corporate Board Readiness (BCBR) program. His honors include Corporate Directors Forum Director of the Year, Directors & Boards’ Directors to Watch, and Stanford University’s Governors’ Award.
