Ellen Zane is a healthcare executive and former president and CEO of Tufts Medical Center and Tufts Children’s Hospital, where she became the first woman to run the hospital in its 230-year history. She currently serves as Distinguished Global Leader in Residence at High Point University and holds faculty appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Before joining Tufts, Zane was network president for Mass General Brigham and CEO of Quincy Hospital. Zane serves on the boards of Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE: BSX), Haemonetics Corp. (NYSE: HAE), where she chairs the board, Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF), Global Medical Response, AgNovos Healthcare, Savista, and Perspectum. She is also a trustee of Hebrew SeniorLife.

Zane holds degrees from George Washington University and the Catholic University of America.
