About The Event
Earlier this year, the Supreme Court struck down race-conscious admissions in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President & Fellows of Harvard College and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. University of North Carolina (collectively "SFFA"). While the impact on the diversity of student bodies in higher education is apparent, the focus of that decision quickly moved to corporate diversity, equity and inclusion ("DEI") programs.
In the months since the SFFA decision, courts, regulatory agencies, elected officials, and corporate leadership across the country have opined on what the decision means and does not mean for organizations outside of higher education. This panel will provide a high-level analysis of the ruling and a brief overview of the shifting landscape in a post-SFFA environment with a particular focus on how this decision impacts existing DEI initiatives.
The panel will also discuss how boards and management can mitigate litigation and reputational risk while preserving corporate commitments to diversity.
