Join NACD Utah for our Fall Kick-Off at Delta's flight training center, the first the airline has built outside Atlanta and a marker of its growing presence in Salt Lake City. The afternoon opens with a reception and a self-guided look at the facility, with Delta Ambassadors stationed throughout to answer questions. Small groups of up to ten then step inside the flight deck of a full-scale Airbus A320 or A350 simulator with a Delta pilot to see how the airline trains. The simulators remain stationary. Michael Huerta, a Delta Air Lines board member and former Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, then joins us for a fireside chat on board oversight in a heavily regulated industry, covering safety culture, what a board owes its regulators, and how a crisis looks from the boardroom. Ivy Estabrooke moderates.
Agenda:
- 3:00 p.m. - Reception and Airbus A320 or A350 simulator tours
- 5:00p.m. - Fireside Chat
There are two registration options: full afternoon (3:00–6:30 p.m., tours and program) and program only (arriving at 5:00 p.m.). Registration is required for building access, so we cannot admit walk-ins or unregistered guests.
