Pamela Moret
Board Chair, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota
Pamela Moret is a retired financial services executive with experience across retail and institutional financial services sectors including asset management, brokerage, mutual funds, insurance (life, disability and long-term care) and banking. Her 37-year career spanned two Fortune 300 financial services firms with multiple C-Suite roles. Early in her career, Pam was an attorney specializing in corporate and securities law. She worked in private practice for several years before moving to Ameriprise (then IDS/American Express) in their law department where she was ultimately Associate General Counsel. Pam moved across several major functions in Ameriprise, including Public Affairs and product P&L management. She ultimately had responsibility for fourteen separate lines of business. In 2002, Pam joined Thrivent Financial as its chief product and marketing officer. After several years, she also created and became Thrivent’s new chief innovation officer. Pam received recognition throughout her career including 2017 Outstanding Director by Twin Cities Business Magazine; named 2009 Woman of Distinction by Girl Scouts Association; Inducted into New York’s YWCA Academy of Women Achievers; Member, Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable (MWER) (2005-2015) and named the Innovative Businesswoman of the Year by City Business (2004). Pam retired mid-2015 and continues to serve on corporate boards including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota where she is currently board chair. Along the way, she has been active in her community including board roles at Minnesota Public Radio/APMG, Bush Foundation, Science Museum of Minnesota, Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable, Luther Seminary and Westminster Presbyterian Church of Minneapolis.
