Nick Barry is a Client Advisor for Marsh’s Cyber Practice in the Corporate Segment of the Northeast Zone. Based in Marsh’s New York office, Nick is responsible for executing the firm’s corporate cyber strategy and assisting clients with risk identification, risk transfer, and risk mitigation of cyber risks and professional liability. Nick began his career in the insurance industry in 2007 as an Intern for AIG followed by two years with AXA XL (formerly XL Group). Nick joined Special Contingency Risks (SCR), a subsidiary of Willis Towers Watson, in 2010 as an Account Executive progressing to a Senior Associate / Vice President. Nick was responsible for advising US & Canadian corporate clients on crisis management and people risks across Kidnap & Extortion, All-risks Evacuation, and Active Assailant insurance products. Throughout his tenure at SCR, Nick was seconded to London advising Europeans clients and working with Lloyd’s Syndicates, presented at various regional RIMS chapter meetings, and recognized as a key subject matter expert having experience working with highly-recognizable organizations operating in challenging security environments. Nick also has significant experience helping clients navigate a wide array of threats and incidents including Cyber Extortion claims. Nick joined Marsh as a Cyber Client Advisor in April of 2022. He advises client from a wide-spectrum of industries including Communications, Media & Technology, Healthcare, Higher Education, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Professional Services.
