Kathleen Hogan

Executive Vice President, Office of Strategy and Transformation, Microsoft

As executive vice president in the Office of Strategy and Transformation, Kathleen Hogan is focused on defining Microsoft’s overarching corporate strategy and structure and leading the company’s continuous transformation process. Hogan previously served as Microsoft’s chief human resources officer (CHRO), overseeing the company’s 220,000 employees, focusing on making Microsoft an exceptional place for employees to work, and fostering a culture that attracts and inspires the world’s most passionate talent. Prior to that, Hogan served as corporate vice president of Microsoft Services, leading the company’s global consulting and support team dedicated to helping businesses and consumers maximize the value of their investment in Microsoft technologies. Before joining Microsoft in 2003, she was a partner at McKinsey & Co. and a development manager at Oracle Corp. Hogan was recognized with the CHRO Innovation Award in 2024 by the SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Foundation’s Tharse Awards, was inducted as a fellow into the National Academy of Human Resources in 2022, and was named “HR Executive of the Year” byHR Executive magazine in 2021. She sits on the board of the National Center for Women & Information Technology, the SHRM Executive Council, and Alaska Air Group
