Karen Bogart

President, Smith Bogart Consulting

Dr. Karen Smith Bogart is the President of Smith Bogart Consulting. She has extensive experience in profit and loss management, marketing, innovation, manufacturing, change management, and human resources. She formerly was a Senior Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company and managed global consumer, health, and commercial businesses. She also was the Chairman and President of Greater Asia, located in Shanghai, China, responsible for Kodak’s businesses and operations across Asia.

She has served as a director of ten U.S., Canadian, and Asian company boards in semiconductors, building materials, chemicals, imaging, online financial services, manufacturing, and batteries. Currently, Dr. Bogart is a director of Mohawk Industries (NYSE-MHK) where she has chaired both the Compensation and the Nominating and Governance Committees. She is a director of Michelman, Inc., a private specialty chemicals company, and chairs the Executive Leadership and Compensation Committee. She also chairs the Fielding Graduate University Board of Trustees, and is a director of the NACD Pacific Southwest Chapter.

Dr. Bogart formerly served as a director of Monolithic Power Systems (NASDAQ - MPWR), Silver Maple Ventures, Inc. - FrontFundr, a Canadian online fintech firm; ZBE, a private digital printing system company; and five businesses in Asia.

Her board committee leadership and participation have included Audit, Finance, Compensation, Nominating, Governance, Strategy, and Special Initiatives.

Dr. Bogart holds a PhD and Masters of Arts in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Rochester, a Masters in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and a BA, Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
