

David Roberts
Director
David Roberts has spent a career empowering customer-facing organizations to excel at knowing their customers and in driving exceptional marketing, sales and service engagement. He is currently President and CEO of SugarCRM and is responsible for leading vision, culture, strategy and operations for this global company. David has led exceptional companies and teams for 30 years with publicly listed and private equity backed companies, with a focus on profitable growth and successful M&A.
David joined SugarCRM from Alchemer, a global SaaS company focused on helping 12,000 global customers improve their customers’ experiences (CX) and their customer and employee feedback programs. He served as CEO and Director during a period of incredible growth and scale; rebranding and repositioning the company and selling the business to KKR.
David came to Alchemer from ReedGroup (now part of Alight), a Denver-based company delivering health and HR solutions for employers, payers and health systems. As CEO, David led ReedGroup through multiple phases - through a turn-around under private equity and debt, multiple years of profitable, organic growth, key acquisitions and the successful sale of the business to a strategic buyer (Guardian Life).
Prior to ReedGroup, David joined Mayor (currently Senator) John Hickenlooper as the Chief Services Officer (public sector COO); bringing private sector customer and business skills to the City of Denver. David provided citywide leadership in strategy and operations to deliver exceptional city services to Denver’s citizens and residents.
David started his career at Accenture and spent 17 years with this global consulting, technology and outsourcing business. David was a founding member of Accenture’s Customer Relationship Management practice, and spent his Accenture career in technology, software and public sector industries, including US and international assignments (Brazil and United Kingdom). Notable roles included spearheading a global practice in Accenture’s Management Consulting organization and leading an Accenture Diamond Client (>$100M in annual revenue). He served many clients during his career including Sikorsky Aircraft, M&M Mars, AMP Incorporated, Siemens Electronics, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, and the Department for Work and Pensions (U.K.).
