Ben Breslau
Chief Research Officer, JLL
Current Responsibilities: Mr. Breslau directs the overall activities of JLL’s Research & Strategy team globally. In this role, Ben chairs the firm’s Global Research Executive Board, and is responsible for managing a team of 500 professional researchers analyzing commercial real estate at both macro and micro levels and across property types covering more than 50 countries around the world. He oversees the delivery of the firm’s leading research publications and services to investor, occupier, and institutional clients, and regularly presents the firm’s thought leadership and research insights at conferences. Mr. Breslau also plays a key strategic role for JLL advising firm leadership and JLL’s Global Executive Board and leading initiatives in the areas of strategy, data, analytics, and innovation. Experience: During his twenty-five years in real estate economics and property research, Mr. Breslau has directed a wide range of research and strategy initiatives and programs. He has elevated JLL’s industry-leading research capabilities with a focus on advanced analytics, insightful interpretation, and strategic application. Mr. Breslau has participated in and led many consulting assignments advising domestic and international clients on real estate market conditions, opportunities, and strategies. He co-authored the book The Workplace You Need Now: Shaping Spaces for the Future of Work (Wiley 2021). He leads JLL’s partnership with the MIT Center for Real Estate and has also held leadership positions and is a frequent expert speaker and panelist for many national and global industry associations including the Urban Land Institute.
