About The Event
Board succession planning for deliberate transitions and unplanned vacancies was a top priority for organizations. Equally important was the establishment of a meaningful board assessment and evaluation process to ensure that boards were operating effectively—at both the board and committee levels.
We shared best practices, insights, and practical experiences relating to the many challenges and considerations that board directors had to navigate when creating a succession plan, selecting new board members, planning for shifts in committee composition and chair roles, and ensuring that effective board evaluations were performed on an annual basis. Our panelists included experienced corporate directors who had recently navigated board transitions for their organizations, along with a leader from one of the world’s largest board advisory and executive search firms that was frequently engaged to support board succession planning and board evaluations.
