$20bn+ Semiconductor Investments: Driving Pacific Southwest Growth

This program will build NACD member knowledge of the importance of the semiconductor industry sector and how it foundationally contributes to innovation, research, and manufacturing in many industries including information systems, telecommunications, automotive, aerospace, and defense. Given its significant contributions to customer products and systems, there is growing demand for smaller, more capable chips. This has promoted national security and geopolitical stability concerns.

Our panelists will address why this industry is growing, how it is expanding in the Pacific Southwest, and how the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act aims to revitalize the domestic production of semiconductors. These factors are spurring technology firm development and growth in our Chapter footprint. These are important issues for boards both in the semiconductor industry as well as in their business customers.
