Most companies, including industry innovators and leaders, experience financial distress and potential bankruptcy during their life cycle. Directors, committee members of compensation, audit, risk, and compliance, and general counsels should attend this workshop designed to arm them to recognize and effectively oversee a potential survival crisis of their companies.
Witness Kodak and General Motors who sought bankruptcy protection after 100 years of industry leadership. Reasons include management and board entitlement, complacency, ineffective competitive strategies, new competitors disintermediating long held business models, and frankly, hubris. Directors are expected to be financially literate, however most directors and management do not know how to, nor have the necessary skillsets, to pivot quickly and be effective in a business financial crisis. Successfully navigating a business financial crisis requires unique experience and skills retained from outside experts.
Attendees will hear and learn from experienced restructuring experts who have successfully navigated many company financial restructuring crisis.
Please join us and our experts to learn more about:
- The warning signs Directors should look for in the early signs of financial distress in companies?
- The signs boards and management must pay attention to, and when?
- What is the “Zone of Insolvency” and potential liability?
- Actions boards should take in overseeing management when approaching the “Zone of Insolvency.”
This workshop has limited capacity to ensure a focused, high-quality learning experience.
