About The Event

April 23, 2025

Private-company boards represent one of the largest yet most overlooked opportunities for directors. Whether in private-equity-backed, venture-funded, family-owned, or employee-owned companies, these boards play a critical role in shaping strategy, governance, and growth.

This was an engaging discussion with experienced private-company directors as we explore the evolving landscape of private board service. This event marked the launch of the Nashville chapter's new Private Board Governance series, aimed at providing ongoing insights into this expanding market.

Our panel provided key insights into:

•    Understanding the various types of private boards
•    Navigating the path to securing a seat
•    Defining the responsibilities of a board member
•    Compensation expectations
