About The Event
NACD Nashville and NACD Capital Area, in collaboration with the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum, welcomed guests to celebrate Women’s History Month with a must-attend virtual program on Thursday, March 20, from noon to 1:15 p.m. CDT.
This engaging conversation featured trailblazing women who discussed key trends and insights in governance and resources for fostering inclusive, purpose-driven leadership. Our speakers shared:
- the role of the board in driving stronger connections between companies and the world in which they operate;
- today’s strategies for gaining the experience and skills needed to advance into and through leadership roles;
- financial independence as a pathway to governance leadership;
- progress over the last 50 years, from the Equal Credit Opportunity Act to today; and
- how to learn more about the new Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum.
Bonus: Meet Me at The Hermitage
Governance leaders based in the Nashville area joined us at The Hermitage Hotel this same day and learned about Tennessee’s pivotal role in the fight for women’s suffrage and the integral role the Hermitage Hotel played in that movement.
