2013 NACD Advisory Council on Risk Oversight Summary of Proceedings

The second meeting of the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) Advisory Council on Risk Oversight convened leaders from risk and audit committees to share views and identify leading and “next practices” on a range of areas impacting risk oversight. The summary of this advisory council meeting captures the spirit of the day’s discussion, as well as key messages and general perspectives.

The summary of these discussions is organized into four areas: board processes and people, recognizing information risk, linking strategy to risk, including defining risk appetite, and the “allocation” of risk oversight.
