Trust is the bedrock of effective board leadership—and it’s built (or broken) by the way boards draw the line between oversight and management, how directors engage one another and management, and the quality of information directors receive.
Join Oscar Munoz, former CEO and Chairman of United Airlines, for a candid discussion on the currency of trust in the boardroom: clarifying roles and responsibilities, strengthening trust among directors and between the board and management, and ensuring board materials provide the right information at the right time. We’ll also examine how a single event can erode trust—and practical steps boards can take to restore it.
Oscar Munoz is widely recognized for his transformational leadership at United Airlines and several board roles, including TelevisaUnivision, Inc., where he guided the company through complex challenges. Munoz’s approach to leadership is grounded in authentic communication, decisive action, and a relentless focus on building trust at every level of the organization. Leaders will benefit from his real-world insights on:
-
Navigating high-stakes boardroom dynamics
-
Creating and Rebuilding trust
-
Fostering a culture where directors and executives can challenge, support, and learn from one another
Oscar’s experience offers a rare, firsthand perspective on what it takes to lead through uncertainty, restore credibility, and drive sustainable performance—making this session especially valuable for executives and board members committed to strengthening their own board relationships.
