In an increasingly complex legal and regulatory environment, protecting confidential information is an essential part of effective board governance. What are directors’ responsibilities when it comes to privacy, confidentiality, and the sensitive information entrusted to them? Where can liability arise, and what steps can directors take to protect themselves and their organizations?
This program welcomes Richard Malm, Sarah Madsen, and Eric Nemmers, all experienced legal professionals with backgrounds serving as general counsel to public, private, and governmental boards for a practical discussion of common boardroom concerns, potential areas of exposure, and strategies for managing risk. Designed to strengthen directors’ understanding of their responsibilities, this program will examine the legal considerations and governance practices that help safeguard confidential information and support informed oversight.
