Please join us for an intimate dinner and “Take it from the Top” fireside chat with Tom Skains, Lead Independent Director at Truist Financial Corporation, Director at Duke Energy and National Fuel Gas, and Past CEO of Piedmont Natural Gas and Bill Rogers, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Truist Financial Corporation.  Dinner will provide an opportunity to connect and exchange ideas with fellow directors. The fireside chat will be moderated by Theresa Drew, Chairman of NACD Carolinas Chapter, and Director at Amrize Ltd, Sonoco Products Company, and The Cato Corporation.  

Tom served for over a decade as the Chairman, CEO and President of Piedmont Natural Gas. He is a seasoned corporate director with many years of governance experience. He has been a leader in the Charlotte community for decades and served on the boards of many civic and philanthropic organizations, including as the Chair of the Charlotte Chamber. He also served as Chairman of both the American Gas Association and the Southern Gas Association.  

Bill has served as Chairman and CEO of Truist for more than three years, after serving as President and COO for two years. Prior to that, he served as Chairman and CEO of a predecessor company since January 2012, after being appointed CEO in June 2011. He has decades of experience with increasingly senior positions in corporate and commercial banking, corporate finance, retail banking and private wealth management. He is Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, recently concluded his term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Charlotte Center City Partners, and is on Emory University’s Board of Trustees, among numerous other philanthropic roles.
