CEO and C-Suite Succession: The Risks Boards Don’t See Coming
Note: This event if open to members who serve on a public company board of directors.
In-Person | September 15, 2026 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Charotte
CEO succession is one of the board's highest-stakes responsibilities. Yet many of the greatest risks—including leadership disruption, retention pressure, succession pipeline gaps, investor scrutiny, and potential value erosion—often emerge only after a transition is underway.
Despite increased board attention, talent oversight remains one of the most complex and consequential governance responsibilities. Leadership succession, executive transitions, and workforce strategy have a profound impact on long-term corporate performance, yet many boards continue to wrestle with where oversight should begin and how deeply directors should engage.
Join fellow board directors and CHROs for an evening of meaningful conversation and peer exchange. The program will begin with a networking reception followed by an peer-to-peer dinner discussion led by Farient Advisors' CEO Robin Ferracone, and COO R.J. Bannister, and fellow board member Tom Wilson. Together, participants will examine how compensation and talent decisions influence executive transitions and shape organizational outcomes in ways that are often underestimated.
Reserve your seat for an evening of insight, connection, and practical boardroom discussion.
