CEO and C-Suite Succession: The Risks Boards Don’t See Coming
Note: This event if open to members who serve on a public company board of directors and CHROs.
In-Person | September 15, 2026 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Charotte
Please join us for a closed-door, off-the-record dinner and conversation with a select group of public company directors and CHROs.
CEO succession is among the board’s highest-stakes responsibilities. Yet some of the greatest risks often surface only after a transition is underway—leadership disruption, retention pressure, succession pipeline gaps, investor scrutiny, and potential value erosion. Too often, organizations respond to these risks with costly, reactive measures rather than addressing compensation, talent, and succession as an integrated strategy.
This private director exchange will explore what boards can do before a transition begins to preserve optionality, protect enterprise value, strengthen the leadership pipeline, and better align compensation and talent strategies with succession risk.
The conversation will be led by Farient Advisors' Robin Ferracone, RJ Bannister and fellow board member Tom Wilson and will center on candid, peer-to-peer discussion. Come prepared to exchange perspectives, share experiences, and explore practical approaches with fellow directors navigating these same high-stakes decisions.
Reserve your seat for an evening of insight, connection, and practical boardroom discussion.
