Five Tips for Boards to Navigate the New Immigration Landscape

In light of the Trump administration’s approach to immigration policy and enforcement, directors can consider these steps to help their companies cope with the labor impacts.

Recent immigration actions by the federal government have prompted companies to rethink their talent strategies. 

Take the September raid on the Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution electric vehicle battery plant in Bryan County, Georgia, which saw Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detain more than 300 South Korean nationals. ICE also raided the Glenn Valley Foods meat plant in Omaha, Nebraska, in June, detaining roughly half of its 140 employees.
