Join the NACD Utah Chapter and the KPMG Salt Lake City office for a special update from Annalisa Barrett, from KPMG's Board Leadership Center will lead a discussion covering Audit Committee oversight in the emerging risk environment. As companies face the challenges of today’s economic environment, boards are considering how to effectively oversee an ever-growing list of risks. While it is often the audit committee that has primary responsibility for risk oversight, it is imperative to consider committee agendas holistically to ensure that key risks, such as geopolitical, regulatory, climate, human capital, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, quantum) are overseen most effectively. During this roundtable discussion we will explore the allocation of risk oversight at the committee level.
We hope you can join us!
