Boards have always made decisions with incomplete information. What has changed is the speed of disruption, the shrinking distance between an early warning and a material consequence, and a harder new problem: sometimes the information in front of the board cannot be trusted at all.
In this scenario-based session, advisors from Alvarez & Marsal, FGS Global, and Global Guardian will work through live boardroom disruptions where the facts are incomplete, the clock is running, and the right first move is not obvious. Each expert will bring a different lens to the same decision, exploring the assumptions behind their recommendations, the risks they are prioritizing, and the information that could change their course of action.
Directors will see how experienced advisors weigh competing risks, challenge conventional thinking, and distinguish between what management should handle and what the board must oversee. The goal is not consensus. It is to show how reasonable experts can reach different conclusions and how boards can exercise sound judgment when certainty is unavailable.
Because when disruption hits, the board's job is rarely to find a perfect answer. It is to make informed decisions in the face of ambiguity.
