Susan Gore

Susan Gore is an experienced global leader with 35+ years of experience spanning audit, business consulting, operations and global technology and information security.  With broad leadership responsibility across large global organizations and growth-stage companies alike, she brings equal command to leading complex enterprise transformation programs to advising venture-backed leadership teams on scaling operations.   Susan is recognized for combining a rigorous strategic mindset with deep operational acumen. She retired from PwC in June 2022, upon reaching PwC mandatory partner retirement age.    

Susan serves on the Board of Directors of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. (NYSE: JLL, $26B+ revenue), a global leader in commercial real estate and investment management services.  She serves on the Audit & Risk Committee, the Cybersecurity Sub-Committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee.

As the Managing Partner of PwC’s Global Technology (IT) and Information Security organization, Susan led the teams responsible for the development and execution of all global technology and security services as well as the business and internal firm applications supporting PwC’s worldwide network of member firms.  She managed the strategic relationships with 150+ member firm COOs, CIOs, and CISOs, partnering with them to execute global IT and security programs and earning recognition as a trusted advisor to senior leadership teams across the network.

Susan led the Global IT teams that executed the multi-year digital transformation of PwC’s back-office operations, migrating to global cloud-based systems such as Salesforce, Workday and Google.  She led PwC member firms through the modernization of PwC’s technology infrastructure – transitioning from a local, data-center model to a highly automated cloud-based, internet first/borderless network with major components delivered as a shared-services. In parallel, Susan led talent development and upskilling programs which were instrumental to the success of these enterprise -wide transformation efforts.  

As the Global Assurance COO, Susan was responsible for all global programs and the teams that supported PwC’s $15+billion Global Assurance business. She led a multi-year transformation program to modernize PwC’s audit approach and supporting technology – including designing the proprietary technology platform now deployed on all PwC audit engagements - while simultaneously restructuring the business model through a global services delivery network. She also secured investment funding to establish PWC’s Risk Assurance practice, which subsequently achieved double-digit growth and delivered substantially high margins than traditional audit services.

Throughout her career as an Assurance Partner, Susan developed deep expertise advising Boards of Directors and Audit Committees across a wide spectrum of technology and software companies, from large multi-national companies to Austin and Silicon Valley based start-up companies.  As a member of the US Assurance Leadership team, she championed transformation programs that materially improved audit effectiveness and efficiency.
