Dr. Shane Goodwin is the Associate Dean and Professor of Practice in Finance at the Business School at Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Dr. Goodwin has 30 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, and as a board member. He has served as a Senior Fellow and Director of public policy research institute at Columbia University established jointly by the Law School and Business School. He was also a Senior Fellow at Harvard Law School Program on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation.

Dr. Goodwin holds an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University, a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, and a law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law.
