Phyllis Yale currently serves on the boards of Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, DaVita Healthcare (NYSE: DVA), and Aledade, Inc. Previously she chaired the boards of Kindred Healthcare, Inc (NYSE: KND) and Blue Cross, and served on the boards of privately-held National Surgical Hospitals and Value Options, Inc., as well as NeighborCare (NASDAQ), and Pediatric Services of America (NASDAQ). She is engaged with several healthcare start-ups through their advisory boards, and is currently on the board of The Trustees of Reservations, Massachusetts’ pre-eminent conservation and preservation organization. Phyllis Yale is an Advisory Partner in Bain & Company’s Boston office. She joined the firm in 1982 and was elected to the partnership in 1987, and held a number of leadership roles. Ms. Yale has been a leader in building Bain’s health care practice for more than 35 years. Over her career she has worked with health care payers and with providers across the continuum of care, and she frequently advises the world’s leading private equity firms on their investments in the health care sector. Ms. Yale was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Pinnacle Award by the Boston Chamber of Commerce, a Lifetime Achievement award by Consulting Magazine, and was named by Working Mother magazine as one of the top 25 working mothers. In 2023, Ms. Yale received the Leadership In Corporate Governance award at the NACDNE Director of the Year Awards ceremony. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School with honors and is a graduate of Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics magna cum laude.
