Peter McKay was the Chairman and CEO of Snyk. Under his leadership, the company scaled from $2 million to $335 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) over seven years, establishing itself as the category-defining leader in developer security. He drove Snyk’s strategic evolution into AI-native security, leveraging advanced machine learning to automate vulnerability remediation throughout the software development lifecycle. Peter successfully navigated high-stakes financing, raising over $750 million to fuel the company’s multi-billion dollar valuation and global expansion across the US, EMEA, and APJ.

A veteran executive with a track record of hyper-growth, Peter previously served as Executive Chairman and CEO of Veeam, where he scaled the business from $300 million to over $1 billion in annual bookings. His leadership experience includes serving as SVP and GM of the Americas for VMware, overseeing $4 billion in revenue, as well as CEO tenures at Watchfire (acquired by IBM) and Desktone (acquired by VMware). Peter has served on the Board of Directors for over 15 companies and holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from Northeastern University. Based in the Boston area, he is an avid cyclist and endurance sports enthusiast.
