Peter Bratney was born and raised in Iowa.  After graduating from Boston College’s Carrol School of Management and the University of Iowa College of Law, Peter practiced corporate and transactional law for two years before accepting a position within his family’s business—Bratney Companies.  With a dedicated team of over 120 employees across the United States and Argentina, Bratney has provided equipment, engineering, and construction services to customers in the seed, grain, food, and feed ingredient industries since 1964.  Peter has served as the CEO of Bratney since 2012, and is very proud to be the third generation to lead the company.  Peter has also had the pleasure of serving on the boards of directors for two incredible family-owned businesses.  Peter has a passion for leadership and learning, and is an enthusiastic advocate for family businesses, with a particular interest in intergenerational succession.  In his free time, Peter enjoys reading, travel, fishing, and keeping up as best he can with his wife and three daughters.
