Dr. Gong is a serial entrepreneur, innovator and technologist. She is the founder & CEO of FIGUR8 Inc - the market leader for measuring musculoskeletal (MSK) health and injury recovery progress. FIGUR8’s integrated solution provides accurate injury measurement to inform patient-centric recovery planning which is proving to positively disrupt a $600B MSK health industry. In the past, she co-founded 3dim Tech, a gestural sensing technology for mobile devices (acquired by Google in 2014); founded Circular2, an engineering consulting firm specializing in rapidly transforming ideas into production-ready products. From 2014-2017, She was assigned as the R&D lead at Google ATAP, to build Project Jacquard: the first full-scale digital technology platform created for smart apparel, footwear, and other everyday essentials. She received a Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab. As an innovator driven by rigorous scientific and engineering training, she has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers and granted over 10 US patents to date. Her work has been recognized by major news outlets such as the WSJ, Forbes, Bloomberg and INC.
