Matt is a Principal at KPMG and the firm’s AI Audit and Assurance Leader, where he is at the forefront of shaping the future of AI trust. In this role, he leads the strategy for delivering independent assurance over AI systems, enabling clients and internal teams to innovate with confidence amid rapid technological advancement and heightened risk.

A frequent speaker on technology and trust, Matt brings more than 25 years of experience and regularly advises the firm’s largest clients on strategic, operational, and compliance priorities. His current focus includes addressing the complex risks associated with generative AI and agentic systems, as well as building a multidisciplinary suite of AI trust services in collaboration with KPMG’s Advisory and Tax leaders. He is also committed to preparing Audit & Assurance professionals to deliver the highest levels of quality and assurance in an evolving technology landscape.Beyond his professional work, Matt is deeply committed to social impact. He and his wife, Becky, are actively involved in combating childhood illiteracy through their leadership in the Atlanta chapter of KPMG Friends & Family for Literacy, and Matt serves on the YMCA of Metro Atlanta board. A father of four, he is also a private pilot and enjoys recreational flying, international travel, reading, and cooking.
