Marisa C. Williams
Chief Executive Officer, Girl Scouts River Valleys
Marisa C. Williams is a dynamic leader committed to driving change at the intersection of passion and purpose. As the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts River Valleys, she sees her role as a divine assignment, ensuring that today’s girls have the opportunities, resources, and support to redefine what they believe is possible. Since stepping into her leadership post, Marisa has been a force for transformation, engaging the Twin Cities corporate and philanthropic communities to elevate the message that Girl Scouts is about far more than cookies, camps, and crafts—it’s about shaping the future of leadership.
Her impact has been widely recognized across Minnesota and beyond. She was named one of the Twin Cities Business Top 100 People to Know in 2025 and one of the Top BIPOC Leaders of 2024. In September 2025, Marisa further expanded her leadership footprint as part of the Obama Leaders cohort and Leadership Twin Cities, underscoring her deep commitment to community, collaboration, and advancing equity-centered leadership.
A self-described non-traditional Girl Scout, Marisa isn’t afraid to challenge convention, embrace failure as a tool for growth, and pursue bold, unconventional paths toward success. She brings a deep commitment to equity, ensuring that historically marginalized voices are included in leadership conversations, from the Girl Scouts she serves to the teams she leads.
Before joining Girl Scouts River Valleys, Marisa served as CEO of HEARTH Pittsburgh, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering families experiencing homelessness. She has dedicated over 15 years to nonprofit and education governance, serving on school boards and nonprofit boards throughout her career. Marisa also served as Vice Chair for two statewide commissions in Pennsylvania, bringing her voice and expertise to issues of equity, education, and community impact. While she is not currently serving on a board, her longstanding commitment to board service reflects her deep belief in strengthening communities through leadership and collaboration. A proud alumna of the University of Pittsburgh, she also holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Now deeply embedded in the Twin Cities community, Marisa is committed to serving where she works and lives. She and her family—her husband, Eugene, and their son, Eugene D. Williams IV—are embracing Minnesota as home.
