Margaret Preston is an experienced corporate board member, financial services industry executive and recognized community leader.

Preston currently serves as the Managing Director of Cohen Klingenstein LLC.  She is a proven financial services executive with deep experience in private wealth management, portfolio management and capital markets.  She is the former Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a division of a global bank, as well as Managing Director at an investment bank. Preston is a developer of strategy and detailed operating plans to achieve goals while managing risk.  She is a thought leader with a gift for turning change into opportunity.   

Preston holds the NACD Directorship Certification.  Shei is actively engaged in board preparedness and continuing education.

She has served as a member of the Board of McCormick & Company since 2003. She is currently the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee, having served on all committees of the Board.  McCormick is a global leader in flavor, seasonings and spices.

Preston serves as the Nominations and Governance Committee Chair at Otis Worldwide Corporation.  She has been a Board Member since Otis was spun from UTC in April of 2020.  Otis is the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and services company.
