Leslie Motter is the President & CEO of Make-A-Wish America, a $500M+ national philanthropic organization. Leslie drives revenue growth, increases brand strength, and ensures the organization has the best people, capabilities, governance, and culture. Under her leadership, Make-A-Wish was recognized by Morning Consult as the #2 Most Trusted Nonprofit in the U.S.

Previously, as COO, Leslie led finance, technology, legal, and HR, modernizing the organization with digital transformations and for-profit practices. She works closely with the Board of Directors and serves on committees including Audit & Finance, Governance, and Compensation.

Leslie’s prior roles include Senior VP at American Express, where she drove revenue growth and operational excellence, and leadership positions at Aetna, Prudential, and Vanguard.  She brings more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning Fortune 100 companies and mission-driven organizations.

In 2025, Leslie was accepted into the Exceptional Women Alliance and was also honored as Leader of the Year 2025 by Valley Leadership, joining historic Arizona leaders like Barry Goldwater and Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. Forbes recognized Leslie on its prestigious ’50 over 50’ list in 2022, which spotlights dynamic female leaders from all walks of life who are breaking barriers and making noteworthy contributions in their respective fields. She has also served on several nonprofit boards supporting women, families, and community development.

Outside of work, Leslie enjoys hiking, reading, traveling with family and friends, and spending time with her new puppy, Baxter. She splits her time between Arizona and California.
