Kyler Martz is a Manager in RSM’s Risk Consulting practice with experience in AI governance, AI internal audit, and technology risk management. He has played a key role in developing RSM’s methodology for AI internal audit and AI governance engagements, including structured approaches for evaluating AI risks, assessing controls, and integrating AI considerations into broader risk and compliance programs. With more than seven years of experience in IT controls, data processes and risk frameworks, Kyler brings a strong foundation in technology risk and applies it to the rapidly evolving AI landscape. His experience spans IT general controls, data pipeline evaluations, system integrations, and the design and enhancement of risk and control frameworks.

His experience includes:

• AI governance evaluations using the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, helping organizations assess maturity, identify gaps and establish responsible AI oversight practices. 
• Analyzed IT general controls, application controls, and performed key report testing for accuracy, completeness and reliability.
• Designed and developed IT risk and control frameworks and IT policies aligned to standards such as NIST, CIS and ISO 27001.
• Evaluated data pipelines, transformations, integrations and batch processing controls, including alerting, incident triage and resolution.
• Remediation assistance focused on the design and implementation of technology and processes to address control deficiencies.
