Jacob Parsons is a Managing Director in Stout’s Disputes, Claims, & Investigations group based in Atlanta. He provides financial analysis and insights to assist commercial and public sector entities resolve complex insurance claims and disputes.

Jacob has over 20 years of experience assisting commercial policyholders quantify, prepare, and present complex property damage, business interruption, construction, cyber, pollution and liability insurance claims.  He has led forensic accounting and claim consulting assignments for clients across a wide range of industries involving losses stemming from perils including; earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes, water intrusion, tornados, oil spills, communicable disease, cyber incidents and construction defects.  His efforts have contributed to over a billion dollars in insurance recoveries for policyholders.  

Jacob also consults on commercial disputes where he advises legal counsel and business executives on financial and economic subject matter, including: lost profits, economic damages, litigation risk analysis, and exposure quantification. He excels at developing statistical analyses to inform decision-making in the context of  settlement discussions, litigation, and M&A transactions.

Prior to joining Stout, Jacob was a partner with The Claro Group. His other professional experience includes positions in the Insurance Claims Consulting practice at LECG and the Financial Advisory Services practice at Arthur Andersen.
