Iris Laws is a tax Director with Forvis Mazars’ Washington National Tax Office (WNTO). In this role, she leads the firm's holistic tax knowledge-sharing strategy, whether through FORsight articles, webinars, conferences, and beyond. Her team actively monitors upcoming and newly issued legislation and maintains relationships with lawmakers to help ensure we stay on the cutting edge of what's next in the tax world.

She serves as WNTO’s clean energy subject matter specialist, and is one of the leaders tasked with developing the firm’s Customs Advisory practice and serving clients with trade and tariff needs. She has also served as a subject matter expert (SME) in the Subchapter K and Partnership AAR groups.

Iris is a member of the firm’s construction and real estate industry practice, but also has experience serving clients in the commercial products and private equity industries.

Outside of FORVIS, she sits on the NCACPA’s Advisory Council, and has served on the alumni council for the Wake Forest University Business School. Iris graduated from Wake Forest University and received a Master of Science in Accountancy from the same institution.
