Ed Bartak is a tax partner for RSM US LLP and serves as the tax location leader for the firm’s Kansas City office. He is focused on identifying opportunities and delivering solutions to help minimize and defer tax liabilities for clients. Ed is also the national leader of the firm’s Alumni employee network group (ENG), which provides opportunities and resources to help former colleagues stay connected with the firm and each other and to continue to grow in the profession. Ed has more than 30 years of experience providing tax, business and accounting services to closely held organizations, publicly traded companies and high net worth individuals. He has extensive experience in the areas of tax planning, business consulting, merger and acquisition planning, due diligence, estate planning, resolution of accounting method issues, and assistance with IRS and state tax examinations. Ed has served on the firm’s board of directors and is a past chairman of the board. He also chaired the firm’s finance committee and mergers and acquisitions committee. Ed rejoined the firm in August 2005 from a Big Four firm. Prior to that, Ed was a senior manager for the RSM Great Lakes practice.
