Chris Morgan is an accomplished audit partner with more than 30 years of public accounting experience, including 20 years as a partner with Grant Thornton. He has led audits for some of the firm’s largest public and private company clients and is recognized for delivering strategic insight, sound judgment, and practical guidance on complex accounting, reporting, and audit matters. Relationship-focused and highly responsive, Morgan is known for supporting his clients through critical business moments and serving as a trusted advisor to management teams, audit committees, and boards. He is very focused on upfront and early issue resolution and being consultative.

Morgan previously served as board chair of Grant Thornton LLP and also serves on Grant Thornton’s qualified plan committee, which oversees the firm’s benefit plans. He has extensive experience serving global, public, and large accelerated filers; US Securities and Exchange Commission registrants; initial public offerings; and private-equity-backed companies. He brings deep industry experience across energy, technology, software, and telecommunications sectors, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, internal control, governance, and capital-markets considerations that are most important to public companies in addition to helping companies become public.
