Brenda is an experienced and strategic director, with a unique combination of credentials and skills including her CPA, CMA, CGMA and MBA with strong organizational achievements in a diverse group of industries including retail and wholesale, sporting goods and outdoor equipment, health and wellness, home decor, apparel and soft goods, service industries, manufacturing, food distribution and production. Brenda holds a NACD Directorship Certification®, the leading-edge board certification on governance issues demonstrating a commitment to the profession of directorship and the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight, the NACD credential on cybersecurity literacy for Directors.

Brenda has highly effective people and team building skills: collaborating, creating and implementing innovative strategic solutions to drive growth and brand performance. Her deep commitment to working relationships built on trust, integrity, fun and collaboration to increase organizational effectiveness and success is clear in all she does.

She has executed on the monetization of investments for investors and liquidity for ownership and management by executing successful initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, mergers, acquisitions and asset liquidations. Brenda has deep expertise in global organizations, subsidiary management, joint ventures, M & A, infrastructure revitalization, systems implementations, high growth situations and turnaround efforts as an executive and director. Brenda is tried, tested and proven in navigating difficult governance situations as a director, keenly focused on the best outcomes for shareholders, management and the organization, while ensuring she honors her fiduciary obligations.
 
Brenda currently serves as a Director and Audit Committee Chair for Boot Barn Holdings, a publicly traded western lifestyle retailer, and is also a former member of the Governance and Nominating Committee. Ms. Morris also serves on the board of Xponential Fitness, a publicly traded curator of boutique fitness brands, where she is Lead Independent Director, Audit Committee Chair and is a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee and Human Capital Committee. Brenda also serves on the board and as Audit Committee Chair of the privately held company, iHerb, a direct-to-consumer retailer of supplements and personal care products and on the Advisory Board for Asarasi, a firm pioneering the recovery and bottling of naturally pure tree-drawn water. Brenda served for 8 years on the board of Duluth Trading Company, a publicly traded lifestyle retailer, and was a member of the Compensation Committee and Audit Committee. Brenda served for 4 years on the board of Ideal Image, a chain of medical aesthetic and wellness services and was the Audit Committee Chair. Brenda is a current Director for National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Pacific Southwest Chapter, the Past-Chair of Washington Business Week, an organization for teenagers interested in practical business experiences, a past Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) Regent, a past Advisor for Operatunities, a non-profit providing arts experience to senior citizens, past member of the Executive Advisory Board for PLU’s School of Business; and is a guest speaker and active member of the AICPA. She obtained her Undergraduate Degree in Business, Accounting from PLU, and her MBA from Seattle University focused on Organizational Behavior and Operations.
 
During her +35-year career, Brenda has acquired extensive experience in the areas of board work, mergers and acquisitions, treasury functions, consulting and IPOs, which she has employed while working in a diverse group of industries. Brenda thrives in being part of an environment where there is a need for a change agent and a transformational influence in looking at all aspects of the organization. She has a reputation for being accountable and responsive and a highly engaged coach and mentor to those she works with and advises. Brenda has held executive positions with several high-profile companies, including Hot Topic, Torrid, 5.11 Tactical, Zumiez, K2 Sports, Unionbay Sportswear and UTILx Corporation and is a Partner for CSuite Financial Partners. During her career, Brenda has logged hundreds of hours in the boardroom, as Chairperson, Lead Director, Committee Member, Executive and a facilitator. Her board experience brings proficiency in working with directors and executives to serve the best interests of the company or organization always striving for success as defined by the mission.
