Barbie Bigelow, NACD.DC, serves on the NACD Nashville Chapter Advisory Board and leads the chapter engagement outreach in East Tennessee. As an Independent Director, Technology Innovation Committee Chair, Nom/Gov., Compensation and Audit committee member, Bigelow has nearly a decade of experience serving high-growth digital companies. She previously served as chief information officer and senior business executive at Fortune 500 companies (NYSE:LMT, NYSE:J), where she oversaw digital transformation, product support, mergers and acquisitions, strategic restructuring, cybersecurity, and information technology operations. Her experience also includes executive roles and service as Board subsidiary chair, risk and audit committee member at two large private companies as well as operating partner and digital value advisor for private-equity portfolios and funds. Bigelow is known for her ability to help organizations achieve above market growth and value creation by bringing strategy, actions and operational measures into alignment.

As chair emerita of the board of advisors for the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee and as senior faculty at the Digital Directors Network, she champions technology leadership and governance excellence. A first-generation college graduate, she actively focuses on improving college access for all students and on advancement of women in technology.

Bigelow is founder of Emerald Growth Partners, providing strategic advising, executive coaching, and investment services to growth-oriented companies. She currently serves as Independent Director on several global privately held company boards.
