About The Event
The new year brings a fresh start, and a new set of questions for corporate directors about the impact of global trends on equity markets. Protectionism, inflation, Hamas/Israel/Russia/Ukraine; and central bank policies set a dramatic backdrop for 2024. The drama is augmented by the 40 national elections slated to occur, including a contentious US presidential contest.
Savita Subramanian, who heads equity strategy for Bank of America Global Research and is named one of Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in US Finance, will set the stage by addressing some key topics that are on the mind of every corporate director:
- Do political cycles explain market returns?
- Are there any investment “best practices” during election years?
- What outcome would be best for the S&P 500?
- Where do parties agree, and what’s the market implication?
- If fiscal stimulus helped the economy, won’t fiscal austerity hurt?
She also will address other topics on board agendas, including measurement of ESG policies and the variables that impact risk and performance.
This interactive program is designed to provide context on global trends for corporate directors and C-suite executives. Subramanian’s presentation will be followed by Q&A and a networking reception.
