

Jack Lazar
Director
Jack has more than 30 years of Silicon Valley experience with a focus on finance and operations. He has served in executive leadership roles at GoPro, Qualcomm, Atheros, NetRatings, Apptitude, and Electronics for Imaging. He was part of teams that took four of these companies public and chief financial officer (CFO) for three of the IPOs. In his operating and board-of-director roles, Jack has been part of more than $30 billion in mergers and acquisitions, divestiture, equity, and debt transactions. He has also completed six additional IPOs and one spin-out and been part of a successful activist defense as a board member.
Jack is currently on the boards of Astera Labs (ALAB), Box (BOX), GlobalFoundries (GFS), and Resideo (REZI). He also consults with a variety of private companies, including Tonal, where he is chair of the board. He is a board member for the Northern California Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and Natcast, a nonprofit entity dedicated to promoting semiconductor R&D in the United States, while serving on the advisory board for the accounting department at Santa Clara University. Additionally, Jack serves as an advisor to Boston Consulting Group, Form Energy, NETGEAR, and Preply.
He was previously on the boards of several acquired companies, including TubeMogul (sold to Adobe in 2016), Eero (sold to Amazon in 2019), Quantenna (sold to ON Semiconductor in 2019), Mellanox (sold to NVIDIA in 2020), Tile (sold to Life360 in 2021), and Casper Sleep (sold to Durational Capital in 2022). He served for nine years on the board of Silicon Labs (SLAB), during which the company split and sold its infrastructure and automotive business to Skyworks for $2.75 billion, increasing its market capitalization by more than 400 percent. In 2021, Jack was part of Box’s successful activism defense against Starboard Value. He was also an advisor to Luxtera (sold to Cisco in 2019) and Silver Peak Systems (sold to Hewlett Packard in 2020).
He earned a BS with an emphasis in accounting from Santa Clara University (1987) and is a certified public accountant (inactive). He has previously been named a Top 100 Director by NACD and CFO of the Year by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
