About The Event
There was great energy on the water for NACD Northern California’s inaugural gathering dedicated to private company directors. Private companies are a defining part of the Northern California business landscape, and NACD Northern California is building a dedicated community for the directors and investors who help guide them.
While the governance challenges facing private companies are often distinct from those of public companies, our chapter is uniquely positioned to bring the two worlds together — creating opportunities for private company leaders to build relationships, exchange perspectives, and access the governance insights and education that help strengthen boards at every stage of growth.
The afternoon brought together private company directors, venture investors, chapter leaders, and partners for an opportunity to connect and strengthen this growing community.
We were joined by members of our chapter leadership, including board chair Ira Ehrenpreis, chair emeritus Claudia Fan Munce, finance chair Gary Strong, and program committee cochairs Alison Davis and Melinda Yee Franklin. We were also delighted to welcome Lisa McErlane Yao and Mohamed Younis from NACD.
A special thank you to our partners who made the afternoon possible: Joseph Talmadge and the team at Heffernan Insurance Brokers for welcoming us aboard, and Steve Osborn and Mintz for co-hosting the gathering.
We look forward to continuing to grow this community and creating more opportunities specifically for Northern California’s private company directors.
Thank you to our partners for making this event possible.
