Today's Activism
Our December Signature Series Event, “Today’s Activism,” brought together an engaging audience for a timely discussion on the evolving nature of shareholder and social activism. Panelists John Stephens, Independent Director and former SVP & CFO of AT&T, and Val Mack, Managing Director of Strategic Communications, Activism & Governance at FTI Consulting, shared their valuable insights on how “vote no” campaigns and broader activism trends are influencing board composition and governance across sectors.
Attendees gained practical takeaways on activism preparedness, board communication strategies, and maintaining effective governance in a rapidly changing environment.
