About The Event
Geopolitical risks are critical for board directors to understand, given their potential impact on global operations and market stability.
Attendees gained insights on the implications of international conflicts, trade policies, and political instability. As they navigated the rest of 2024 into 2025, boards needed to be prepared for the challenges posed by upcoming domestic and global elections and the changes in economic and other global policies that might result. Participants listened to a panel of experts explore the implications of ongoing wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, escalating tensions with China, ungoverned AI, climate change, a deeply divided citizenry, and inflation. Directors needed to stay informed through regular briefings, engage in scenario planning, and ensure robust risk management frameworks were in place. By doing so, directors could safeguard their companies against unforeseen disruptions and sustain long-term strategic goals.
