About The Event
The NACD New England Chapter, The Roux Institute at Northeastern University, and the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce were pleased to present a special Visionaries event celebrating the far-reaching vision of Maine and New England business leaders.
The event brought together CEOs from a diverse range of Maine businesses and key leaders from State Government to explore how regional businesses have been navigating a world defined by uncertainty — from shifting trade patterns and tariffs to the rapid rise of AI and emerging technologies.
Participants learned that for boards and their directors, cultivating agility and resilience has become more critical than ever. Discussions highlighted how today’s decisions carry widespread, and sometimes unpredictable, consequences. Attendees gained insight into the frameworks leading boards are using to guide decision-making in complex environments, the pressing issues currently dominating board agendas, and the knowledge and focus areas directors must prioritize to stay ahead.
This event was held on Oct. 28, 2025, at the Roux Institute at Northeastern University in Portland, Maine.
