The relationship between the Board Chair (or Lead Independent Director), the Board, and the CEO has never been more important—particularly in today’s complex governance environment. Leveraging insights from NACD’s recent Blue-Ribbon Commission (BRC) report, Building a High-Trust Board-CEO Relationship, this program will explore what’s needed to build trust and drive strategic impact within this critical relationship.
BRC Commissioner Colleen Birdnow Brown will ground the discussion in key findings from the NACD BRC report. C.H. Robinson President & CEO Dave Bozman and Board Chair Jodee Kozlak will offer perspectives on the CEO–Board relationship from a Fortune 500 company. Steve Jennings, Lead Independent Director of Analog Devices will facilitate and add to the conversation.
This dynamic panel will delve into the mechanics of a strong Board Chair/Lead Independent Director/Board–CEO relationship, sharing unique insights on:
- What’s needed to establish a foundation of trust—and how to operationalize that trust
- How to leverage the Board and CEO relationship for optimal strategic impact
- The importance of trust, clarity, and disciplined engagement for effective governance
