About The Event
This session provided directors with added practical insights into one of the board’s most critical responsibilities: overseeing leadership succession and executive transitions. The program highlighted the strategic role of compensation in retaining key talent, supporting organizational stability, and aligning new leadership pay with long-term goals.
Expert panelists shared strategies for identifying and preparing internal candidates, structuring retention packages for those not selected, and navigating emerging risks such as shorter leadership tenures and the influence of outgoing executives.
Following the discussion, attendees engaged in a peer-to-peer roundtable exchange, offering an opportunity to explore real-world challenges, share experiences, and gain actionable guidance to strengthen governance practices.
This session reinforced the importance of thoughtful, proactive oversight in ensuring smooth leadership transitions and sustaining organizational success.
