Strengthening Cybersecurity Vigilance
The United States Secret Service and NACD are hosting a 1.5 day course to help corporate directors be more prepared and better equipped to support their organizations in their cybersecurity governance efforts.
The Cybersecurity Board Academy is being held at a crucial moment; cybersecurity threats are growing in number and severity, and boards of directors are increasingly becoming responsible for overseeing and understanding this risk to their organizations. At the same time, an education and cyber literacy gap exists among many board directors, which can inhibit effective and efficient decision-making around risk mitigation. This course is committed to helping close that gap to help curb future cyber risks from threatening the continuity of our nation’s critical sectors. The curriculum covers four key topic areas: threats, governance, protection, and response and resilience, and will reinforce how industry and government can best partner to govern and address cyber risk
